BML Munjal University Scholarships 2027: Eligibility, Amount, Cut-Offs & How to Apply Verified information
AT A GLANCE

Quick Summary

  • BMU offers 10% to 100% tuition-fee waivers through Class 12, JEE, SAT, CAT, XAT, NMAT, CUET and other routes, subject to availability, merit, and renewal rules for eligible applicants only.

BML Munjal University offers merit, need-based and category-linked financial support across engineering, management, commerce, law and liberal studies programmes. Depending on the course and qualifying examination, an eligible student may receive a tuition-fee waiver ranging from 10% to 100%.

However, students planning admission in 2027 must understand one crucial point: as of August 18, 2026, BMU has not published a separate final scholarship policy for the 2027 admission cycle. Its official website is still displaying the current 2026 admission information and the latest publicly available scholarship slabs. The university has also stated that information about its next MBA admission cycle will be announced separately. Therefore, the cut-offs in this article should be treated as the latest official planning benchmarks—not guaranteed BMU scholarship 2027 cut-offs. Students must verify the final slabs when the university releases its 2027 scholarship notification. BMU’s current scholarship page and MBA admission page provide the present status.

The latest BML Munjal University scholarship structure covers performance in Class 12, JEE Main, SAT, CAT, XAT, NMAT, GMAT, CUET, UGAT, CLAT, BMU-SAT and IB, depending on the programme. Separate support is available for Haryana-domicile students, defence wards, children of eligible Hero Group employees, sportspersons and academically capable students who need financial assistance.

This guide brings the different BMU scholarship criteria together so applicants can compare eligibility, scholarship amounts, cut-offs, renewal requirements and application steps without moving between several programme pages.

Accuracy note for 2027 applicants: All score slabs below are based on the latest official information publicly accessible on August 18, 2026. BMU can revise cut-offs, scholarship availability, fees, eligible examinations and renewal conditions for the 2027 intake.

BMU reports that approximately 40% of students currently on campus are receiving scholarships and that benefits of up to 100% are available across programmes. The university also emphasises that scholarships are limited and final allocation remains at its discretion. BMU scholarship overview.

Is the BMU Scholarship Policy for 2027 Available?

No separate final BML Munjal University scholarship 2027 policy was publicly available on the official university website when this article was verified on August 18, 2026.

The university’s pages currently refer to 2026 admissions, while its central scholarship page carries the latest publicly visible programme-wise slabs. Consequently:

  • The published cut-offs are useful benchmarks for students targeting 2027 admission.
  • They should not be presented as confirmed 2027 cut-offs.
  • Scholarship percentages may remain unchanged, increase, decrease or be restructured.
  • The number of awards available in each programme may change.
  • BMU may add or remove qualifying examinations.
  • Tuition fees may be revised for the 2027 academic session.
  • Renewal rules can also be updated.
  • The final scholarship acceptance letter and admission offer will override any indicative online calculation.

Applicants searching for “BMU scholarship 2027” should revisit the official scholarship and programme pages when the 2027 application window opens. They should also request written confirmation of the applicable slab from the admissions team.

What Is the BML Munjal University Scholarship?

The BML Munjal University scholarship is a collection of tuition-fee waivers and financial-aid schemes offered to eligible students admitted to BMU programmes.

These are not all identical awards. BMU divides its merit support primarily into two levels:

Dean’s Scholarship

The Dean’s Scholarship recognises exceptional academic or entrance-examination performance. The latest programme policies associate it mainly with 100% and 75% tuition-fee waivers.

According to BMU’s published terms, a Dean’s Scholarship may continue for the programme’s full duration if the recipient fulfils the prescribed renewal conditions. These presently include:

  • Maintaining a minimum CGPA of 8.5 every year
  • Maintaining at least 80% attendance across courses in each semester or module
  • Having no disciplinary action
  • Complying with other conditions in the scholarship and admission offer

The official policy also states that if the required CGPA is not achieved, the Dean’s Scholarship can be revoked without an option for reinstatement. Students should therefore view the initial award and its continuation as two separate stages.

Programme Scholarship

Programme Scholarships support students whose academic record or entrance score falls within the university’s lower merit slabs. The latest tables generally show 50%, 25% and 10% tuition-fee waivers.

The dedicated scholarship terms state that Programme Scholarships may be considered for renewal from the second year. Renewal is not automatic merely because a student maintains the minimum CGPA. BMU may also consider the student’s position in the programme merit list.

The latest published minimum renewal conditions include:

  • At least 7.00 CGPA at the end of the previous academic year
  • At least 80% attendance
  • No disciplinary action
  • A sufficiently strong rank in the programme merit list
  • Compliance with the conditions mentioned in the scholarship letter

For this reason, students should not assume that a 50%, 25% or 10% Programme Scholarship will automatically continue unchanged for every academic year.

Other BMU Financial Grants

In addition to entrance- and academic-merit awards, the university currently lists:

  • Haryana Domicile Scholarship
  • Defence Ward Fee Waiver
  • Hero Ward Scholarship
  • Sports Scholarship
  • Equity Scholarship
  • Programme-specific financial assistance
  • Scholarship consideration through interviews in programmes where fixed public slabs are not displayed

General BMU Scholarship Eligibility

BMU scholarship eligibility depends on three layers: eligibility for the programme, eligibility for the scholarship route and final allocation by the university.

Admission Eligibility Comes First

A scholarship does not replace the programme’s admission requirements. The applicant must first qualify for admission to the selected course.

For example:

  • B.Tech applicants currently need Class 12 or an equivalent qualification with Physics, Mathematics and English as core subjects and the prescribed aggregate.
  • MBA applicants need a recognised bachelor’s degree and the minimum graduation marks specified by BMU.
  • BBA, B.Com and Integrated BBA–MBA applicants must satisfy the applicable Class 12 requirements.
  • Integrated law applicants must fulfil the programme’s Class 12 eligibility.
  • Three-year LL.B. applicants need a qualifying undergraduate degree.

The latest B.Tech overview specifies a minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Mathematics, English and one additional eligible subject. The MBA overview specifies a bachelor’s degree with at least 50%. These are admission benchmarks and should not be confused with scholarship cut-offs. BMU B.Tech programme and BMU MBA programme.

Meeting a Score Slab Does Not Guarantee an Award

BMU repeatedly states that its scholarships are limited, merit-based and generally allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Final allocation is at the university’s discretion.

A student may cross the published cut-off and still not receive the award if:

  • The scholarship pool for that programme has been exhausted
  • The student applies late
  • Documents are incomplete
  • The score cannot be verified
  • The applicant does not complete the admission process
  • The candidate’s interview, counselling or overall assessment is unsatisfactory
  • The university revises the policy for the relevant intake
  • The scholarship committee does not approve the award
  • The applicant fails another condition mentioned in the offer letter

The safest interpretation is that a published score makes the candidate eligible for consideration; it does not create an automatic entitlement.

Understand the Measurement Used

Students must distinguish between the different formats used in BMU scholarship criteria:

Examination or recordMeasurement used in BMU’s published table
JEE MainPercentile
CATPercentile
XATPercentile
UGATPercentile
CUETDescribed by BMU as “CUET Percentage”
Class 12Percentage in the specified subjects
SATTotal score
NMATScore
GMATScore
CLATRank
BMU-SATScore
IBPoints

A CAT score and CAT percentile are not the same. Similarly, JEE Main percentage, marks, rank and percentile are different measures. Applicants should compare their result only with the exact measurement named in the relevant table.

BML Munjal University B.Tech Scholarship 2027

The current B.Tech scholarship structure primarily uses JEE Main percentile and SAT score. BMU’s dedicated B.Tech page also mentions JEE Main, SAT, BMU-SAT and CUET as accepted entrance examinations, but the latest detailed public scholarship slab displayed on the programme page contains cut-offs only for JEE Main and SAT.

Therefore, a student applying through CUET or BMU-SAT should not assume a particular tuition waiver unless BMU provides a written programme-specific slab.

BMU B.Tech Scholarship Based on JEE Main Percentile

The current official B.Tech table has different JEE Main thresholds for Computer Science and Engineering and for Electronics/Computer Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

ScholarshipTuition-fee waiverJEE Main percentile for CSEJEE Main percentile for ECE/EComE and ME

The SAT table is common to the engineering streams on the current official B.Tech programme page.

Can B.Tech Students Get a Scholarship Through CUET or BMU-SAT?

BMU’s dedicated B.Tech scholarship page lists JEE Main, SAT, BMU-SAT and CUET among accepted examinations. However, the same page says that JEE Main and SAT are accepted for scholarship consideration, while the detailed current programme table publishes only JEE Main and SAT slabs.

Because the official wording is not fully consistent, 2027 applicants applying through CUET or BMU-SAT should ask BMU:

  • Whether the examination qualifies for admission only or for scholarship consideration as well
  • What exact score, percentile or percentage is required
  • Whether the criterion differs by B.Tech branch
  • What percentage of tuition fee is waived
  • Whether the award is a Dean’s or Programme Scholarship
  • How long the waiver remains valid
  • What renewal conditions apply

Until BMU provides a written slab, a third-party estimate should not be treated as an official BMU B.Tech scholarship cut-off.

B.Tech Scholarship Duration

The dedicated policy currently states:

  • The 100% and 75% Dean’s Scholarships may cover tuition for the programme’s full duration, subject to the conditions.
  • The policy text expressly associates 50% and 25% Programme Scholarships with the first year.
  • Programme Scholarships may be considered for annual renewal from the second year.
  • Renewal depends on academic performance, attendance, conduct and rank in the programme merit list.
  • The current public cut-off table also contains a 10% slab, but the summary policy does not explain its initial duration as clearly as it explains the 50% and 25% slabs.

Students receiving a 10% B.Tech scholarship should check their scholarship letter for its precise duration and renewal conditions.

Illustrative B.Tech Scholarship Amount

BMU’s current B.Tech programme page lists tuition of ₹4.10 lakh per year and ₹16.40 lakh across four years. A separate course overview displays a broader programme-fee range, so the final fee should be confirmed for the selected branch and intake.

Based on annual tuition of ₹4.10 lakh, the simple annual value would be:

WaiverIllustrative saving on ₹4.10 lakh annual tuitionIllustrative payable tuition
100%₹4,10,000₹0
75%₹3,07,500₹1,02,500
50%₹2,05,000₹2,05,000
25%₹1,02,500₹3,07,500
10%₹41,000₹3,69,000

These calculations exclude registration fees, deposits, hostel charges, food, travel, personal expenses and other non-tuition components. They are examples based on current published tuition—not confirmed 2027 scholarship amounts.

BMU MBA Scholarship 2027

The BMU MBA scholarship is presently available through CAT, XAT, NMAT and the score table labelled “GMAT/GRE” on the official website. BMU’s MBA admission process also accepts CMAT and BMU-MAT for admission, but the public scholarship page does not display separate CMAT or BMU-MAT scholarship slabs.

The MBA 2026 intake is shown as closed on the official website, and BMU says that information about the next admission cycle will be announced in due course. MBA applicants should therefore wait for the next formal notification before treating any cut-off as final.

BMU MBA Scholarship Based on CAT or XAT Percentile

CAT/XAT percentileLatest published scholarship
90 or above100% tuition fee – Dean’s Scholarship
87–89.9975% tuition fee – Dean’s Scholarship
84–86.9950% tuition fee – Programme Scholarship
80–83.9925% tuition fee – Programme Scholarship
75–79.9910% tuition fee – Programme Scholarship

A CAT or XAT percentile of 90 is therefore the latest published threshold for consideration for a 100% tuition-fee waiver. It is not an assurance that every candidate with 90 percentile will receive the scholarship. The award remains limited and subject to the admission and scholarship committee’s decision. Official BMU MBA scholarship page.

BMU MBA Scholarship Based on GMAT

BMU’s current table displays the following score bands:

Published score bandLatest published scholarship
725 and above100% tuition fee – Dean’s Scholarship
700–72475% tuition fee – Dean’s Scholarship
675–69950% tuition fee – Programme Scholarship
650–67425% tuition fee – Programme Scholarship
625–64910% tuition fee – Programme Scholarship

There is an important technical issue with this table. BMU labels it “GMAT/GRE Score,” but the numerical bands are GMAT-style scores. They cannot be ordinary GRE General Test total scores.

The current GMAT Total Score scale is 205–805, with total scores ending in 5, according to the official GMAT scoring page. In contrast, the GRE reports Verbal Reasoning and Quantitative Reasoning separately on 130–170 scales, plus Analytical Writing on a 0–6 scale, according to ETS.

Therefore:

  • The published 625–725 bands can be read as GMAT-style bands.
  • A GRE candidate should not interpret “725 GRE” literally.
  • BMU has not published a clear GRE conversion table on the scholarship page.
  • GRE applicants should request the required section scores, combined score, percentile or approved conversion in writing.
  • Applicants with an older GMAT edition score should also ask how BMU will evaluate it against the current GMAT scale.

BMU MBA Scholarship Based on NMAT Score

NMAT scoreLatest published scholarship
301 and above100% tuition fee
251–30075% tuition fee
226–25050% tuition fee
211–22525% tuition fee
206–21010% tuition fee

The official NMAT table displays the percentage benefit but does not attach the Dean’s or Programme label to each row as consistently as the CAT/XAT table. Applicants should check the classification in their scholarship offer because it can affect renewal conditions.

Is There a BMU MBA Scholarship Through CMAT or BMU-MAT?

BMU accepts CAT, NMAT, GMAT, CMAT, XAT, GRE and BMU-MAT in its current MBA admission process. Nevertheless, the public MBA scholarship table provides numeric slabs for:

  • CAT/XAT
  • GMAT/GRE, with the score-scale ambiguity explained above
  • NMAT

No separate verified CMAT or BMU-MAT scholarship cut-off is displayed. Students applying through either route should contact BMU instead of using an unofficial conversion.

Illustrative BMU MBA Scholarship Amount

The current MBA programme page lists annual tuition of ₹7.55 lakh. On that base:

WaiverIllustrative annual savingIllustrative annual tuition payable
100%₹7,55,000₹0
75%₹5,66,250₹1,88,750
50%₹3,77,500₹3,77,500
25%₹1,88,750₹5,66,250
10%₹75,500₹6,79,500

If a 100% or 75% Dean’s Scholarship continues across the complete two-year programme, its total value would depend on the actual tuition charged in each year. Students must not automatically double the first-year benefit unless their scholarship letter confirms coverage for both years.

Registration, security deposit, hostel, food, travel, immersion and other charges are ordinarily outside a tuition-fee waiver.

BMU BBA Scholarship 2027

The current BMU BBA scholarship structure considers Class 12 percentage, UGAT percentile, CUET percentage and IB points.

The same broad slabs apply to BBA and BBA (Hons.), although programme duration and fees can differ according to the academic exit selected.

Programme Scholarship10%85–87.9%85–87.985–87.9%36–37

These figures appear on BMU’s current BBA/BBA (Hons.) programme page.

Some BMU scholarship pages display slightly different IB boundaries, such as 41–44 instead of 42–44 for the 75% slab. Because both versions appear within BMU’s own website, applicants should use the programme-specific table and obtain written confirmation for their intake.

How BMU Calculates Class 12 Merit for BBA

The dedicated scholarship page says that the Class 12 route gives:

  • 70% weight to Class 12 marks
  • 30% weight to the interview assessment
  • Class 12 marks calculated from three core subjects plus English, irrespective of the education board

This means a board percentage alone may not determine the final scholarship outcome. The interaction or interview can remain part of the evaluation even if the student crosses a displayed Class 12 slab.

Applicants should ask whether the displayed percentage is:

  • A minimum eligibility threshold
  • Part of a composite score
  • The final scholarship determinant
  • Subject to a programme merit list
  • Calculated before or after the 70:30 weighting

Illustrative BBA Scholarship Amount

The current BBA/BBA (Hons.) programme page lists ₹3.50 lakh per academic year. On this base:

WaiverIllustrative annual savingIllustrative annual tuition payable
100%₹3,50,000₹0
75%₹2,62,500₹87,500

25%₹87,500₹2,62,500
10%₹35,000₹3,15,000

A three-year BBA and a four-year BBA (Hons.) do not necessarily produce the same total scholarship value. The award letter should specify whether the waiver applies to the selected exit structure and how renewal will work.

BMU B.Com Scholarship 2027

The current BMU B.Com and B.Com (Hons.) scholarship structure follows the same main score bands as BBA.

BMU Integrated BBA–MBA Scholarship 2027

The five-year Integrated BBA–MBA programme currently accepts UGAT, SAT and CUET for admission and has a minimum Class 12 requirement. Its scholarship page publishes merit slabs based on:

  • Class 12 percentage
  • UGAT percentile
  • CUET percentage
  • IB points

The IB scale has a maximum of 45 points, so “45+” on the published BMU page should practically be read as 45 unless the university clarifies another method. Additionally, BMU’s newer management programme tables show different IB breakpoints. Applicants should obtain the applicable 2027 IB slab in writing rather than choosing whichever online table appears more favourable.

The Class 12 route currently uses 70% weight for three core subjects plus English and 30% for the interview assessment. Official Integrated BBA–MBA scholarship page.

Integrated BBA–MBA Fees and Scholarship Value

The current tuition structure is:

Third year₹3,50,000
Fourth year₹5,90,000
Fifth year₹5,90,000
Total tuition₹22,30,000

These figures come from the official Integrated BBA–MBA fee page.

If a Dean’s Scholarship were formally granted and renewed across the complete programme, the mathematical value on current tuition would be:

Dean’s ScholarshipIllustrative full-programme savingIllustrative tuition payable
100%₹22,30,000₹0
75%₹16,72,500₹5,57,500

This is only an illustration. The final scholarship letter must confirm how the percentage will apply when tuition changes from ₹3.50 lakh to ₹5.90 lakh in the fourth and fifth years.

For Programme Scholarships, students should not calculate a guaranteed five-year benefit. The latest policy makes renewal subject to academic performance, attendance, conduct and programme merit ranking.

BMU Law Scholarships

MA Public Policy Scholarship

BMU’s MA Public Policy scholarship page says admitted students are automatically considered for merit or equity support through a scholarship interview. It advertises support of up to 100% of tuition and states that living expenses may be considered in exceptional cases.

The Haryana Domicile Scholarship operates differently from the entrance-score merit slabs.

Under BMU’s published interpretation of the Haryana Private Universities Act:

  • 25% of students admitted under the Haryana Domicile category are eligible for a full or partial fee concession.
  • One-fifth of this eligible 25% may receive a full fee concession.
  • Two-fifths may receive a 50% concession.
  • The remaining two-fifths may receive a 25% concession.

This does not mean that 25% of all university students automatically receive a full scholarship. It refers to the distribution among qualifying admissions under the Haryana-domicile category.

For subsequent years, BMU states that Haryana Domicile Scholarship allocation depends on:

  • Academic performance
  • Attendance
  • Family income
  • Position in the applicable merit list
  • Availability and university policy

Applicants should keep a valid candidate domicile certificate and any family-income evidence requested by the university.

Defence Ward Fee Waiver

The current Defence Ward Fee Waiver provides an eligible child of serving or retired defence personnel with a 10% tuition-fee waiver, subject to the university’s terms.

Important details include:

  • The applicant must first be eligible for and receive an admission offer.
  • Documentary proof of the parent’s defence service is required.
  • The waiver applies to tuition, not automatically to hostel or other charges.
  • Continuation may depend on a minimum 7.00 CGPA, 80% attendance and no disciplinary action.
  • The scholarship letter should confirm the accepted categories of service and documents.
  • Applicants should not assume that an identity card alone will meet every verification requirement.

BMU’s new-student documentation page specifically lists a certificate for the Defence Ward Scholarship where applicable.

Hero Ward Scholarship

The Hero Ward Scholarship currently offers a 10% tuition-fee waiver to eligible students whose parent works with specified Hero Group companies.

The university’s published list includes:

  • Hero MotoCorp
  • Hero FinCorp
  • Hero Future Energies
  • Munjal Showa Limited
  • Rockman Industries
  • Hero Cycles
  • Hero Enterprise

The student must receive an admission offer and submit employment proof acceptable to BMU. Continuation can be subject to academic, attendance and conduct requirements.

Applicants should request confirmation if:

  • The parent works for a subsidiary not explicitly listed
  • The parent is employed through a contractor
  • Employment changes during the programme
  • The employee has retired
  • The company name has changed
  • The student is also eligible for a merit or domicile grant

Because BMU ordinarily allows one financial grant at a time, an applicant eligible for both a Hero Ward waiver and a larger merit scholarship would generally be considered for the higher benefit.

Sports Scholarship

BMU’s Sports Scholarship can provide a tuition-fee waiver ranging from 25% to 100% for eligible sportspersons.

The final level depends on factors such as:

  • State-level participation or achievement
  • National-level participation or achievement
  • International-level participation or achievement
  • Recognition of the event by an approved sporting authority
  • Performance in BMU’s physical fitness and sports proficiency tests
  • Availability of the relevant sport at the university
  • Agreement to represent BMU when required

The university currently recognises sports including athletics, archery, badminton, basketball, chess, cricket, football, kabaddi, lawn tennis, martial arts, pool, powerlifting, table tennis, volleyball and weightlifting on its broader B.Tech scholarship page. Some programme-specific pages publish a shorter list, so candidates must confirm whether their sport is accepted for the selected programme.

For continued support, a recipient may need to:

  • Represent the BMU team in the relevant sport
  • Maintain the required academic performance
  • Meet attendance rules
  • Participate in an annual review or interview
  • Maintain satisfactory conduct
  • Continue meeting sports-performance requirements

A state or national certificate alone does not make the award automatic. BMU’s Sports Office and scholarship committee complete the assessment.

Equity Scholarship

The Equity Scholarship is intended for academically capable students from economically weaker backgrounds who may otherwise struggle to fund university education.

Unlike a purely merit-based cut-off scholarship, the Equity Scholarship involves assessment of both academic potential and financial circumstances.

The latest official terms state that:

  • The Admissions and Scholarship Committee reviews applications.
  • A personal interview may be part of the process.
  • Applicants must provide income documentation.
  • The committee determines the final amount.
  • In an exceptional case, approved support may include a student-housing grant.
  • The scholarship may be granted for the programme’s full duration, subject to annual conditions.
  • Continued eligibility currently requires at least 7.00 CGPA, 80% attendance and no disciplinary action.

BMU does not publish one universal annual family-income ceiling for every Equity Scholarship on its main public page. Applicants should therefore not rely on an unofficial income cut-off.

Useful evidence may include:

  • Parent or guardian income certificate
  • Income-tax returns
  • Salary slips
  • Form 16
  • Bank statements, if requested
  • Proof of unemployment or business income
  • Evidence of exceptional medical or family expenses
  • Domicile or category documents where relevant
  • Academic records
  • A written explanation of the applicant’s financial circumstances

The committee can request additional documents. An incomplete or inconsistent financial declaration can delay or prevent an award.

What Does the BMU Scholarship Amount Cover?

The phrase “100% scholarship” can easily be misunderstood. Under BMU’s current general terms, ordinary scholarships and fee waivers apply to the tuition fee.

They do not automatically cover:

  • Application fee
  • Registration fee
  • Refundable security deposit
  • Hostel accommodation
  • Mess or food charges
  • Books
  • Laptop
  • Transport
  • Examination-related charges
  • Personal expenses
  • Travel
  • Optional international immersion
  • Insurance or medical expenses
  • Any other separately billed component

An Equity Scholarship may include approved housing assistance in an exceptional case, but this is not automatic.

Scholarship Percentage Formula

The basic calculation is:

Scholarship value = Applicable tuition fee × Scholarship percentage

Tuition payable = Applicable tuition fee − Scholarship value

For example, if annual tuition is ₹4,10,000 and the approved waiver is 50%:

Scholarship value = ₹4,10,000 × 50% = ₹2,05,000

Tuition payable = ₹4,10,000 − ₹2,05,000 = ₹2,05,000

The percentage should be applied only to the tuition figure specified in the relevant fee notice. It should not be applied to the total cost of attendance unless the university expressly says so.

How Much Can a BMU Scholarship Save?

The following comparison uses the latest publicly displayed annual tuition. It is illustrative and should not be treated as the 2027 fee schedule.

BA LL.B. (Hons.), current annual fee₹3,90,000₹3,90,000₹2,92,500₹1,95,000₹97,500₹39,000

A full-duration calculation is appropriate only when the scholarship letter confirms full-duration coverage and the student continues meeting the renewal requirements. Programme Scholarships should not be multiplied across all years as though renewal were guaranteed.

Can a Student Use More Than One BMU Scholarship?

Ordinarily, no. BMU’s current general terms say a student can receive the benefit of one financial grant in an academic year.

If a student qualifies for multiple schemes, the university considers the grant offering the highest benefit.

For example:

  • A BBA applicant qualifies for a 25% merit scholarship and a 10% Hero Ward waiver.
  • The higher benefit is the 25% merit scholarship.
  • The two percentages should not be added to create a 35% waiver.

Similarly, a student should not assume that a Haryana Domicile Scholarship can automatically be combined with a Sports Scholarship.

The applicant should still disclose every eligible category. BMU can then assess which scheme provides the maximum permissible benefit.

How to Apply for the BML Munjal University Scholarship 2027

The scholarship process is connected to the admission process. Applicants generally do not begin with an isolated scholarship form before choosing a programme.

Apply to the Selected Programme

Visit the official BMU application page and select the programme for which admission is sought.

Complete the application form with:

  • Personal information
  • Contact details
  • Academic history
  • Programme preference
  • Entrance-examination details
  • Category or domicile information, where applicable
  • Other information required by BMU

Use an active email address and mobile number because admission, interview and scholarship communication may be sent to the registered contact details.

Select the Correct Admission Route

Choose the route supported by your examination or academic record.

Examples include:

  • JEE Main or SAT for the published B.Tech scholarship slabs
  • CAT, XAT, NMAT or GMAT for the published MBA slabs
  • Class 12, CUET, UGAT or IB for BBA, B.Com and Integrated BBA–MBA
  • CLAT, BMU-SAT, SAT, CUET or Class 12 for integrated law
  • Programme-specific academic and interview routes for Liberal Studies
  • Financial assessment for Equity Scholarship
  • Sports assessment for Sports Scholarship

An examination accepted for admission does not necessarily have a publicly published scholarship slab. Confirm both points separately.

Submit Academic Records and Test Scores

Upload readable copies of the required documents. Enter percentile, score, percentage and rank in the correct fields.

Avoid these common errors:

  • Entering CAT marks instead of percentile
  • Entering JEE rank in a percentile field
  • Treating CUET percentile as a percentage without confirmation
  • Entering the wrong SAT score
  • Using a predicted score as a final result
  • Uploading an unofficial screenshot when a scorecard is required
  • Giving a CLAT percentile when the scholarship table asks for rank
  • Entering a GRE score into the GMAT-style table

Complete the Admission Assessment

Depending on the programme, BMU may require:

  • Faculty Interaction
  • Personal Interview
  • Case Discussion
  • Counselling
  • Sports proficiency test
  • Scholarship interview
  • Document verification
  • Overall profile review

An excellent entrance score does not remove the need to complete a mandatory interaction or interview.

Request Scholarship Consideration

BMU’s admission process says eligible students can discuss scholarship details during counselling or onboarding. Applicants should explicitly request consideration instead of assuming that the system has automatically assigned the award.

Ask the counsellor to confirm:

  • Scholarship name
  • Percentage
  • Score route used
  • Duration
  • Renewal requirements
  • Expenses covered
  • Acceptance deadline
  • Whether a separate form is required
  • Whether additional financial or category documents are pending

Complete the Category-Specific Form

Additional steps may apply:

  • Equity Scholarship applicants may need a separate financial-aid form and income documents.
  • Haryana-domicile applicants must submit valid domicile evidence.
  • Defence Ward applicants must provide service-related certification.
  • Hero Ward applicants need acceptable employment proof.
  • Sports applicants must submit certificates and complete the required trials or tests.

Obtain Written Confirmation

A verbal statement from a counsellor is not the final scholarship award.

Request one of the following:

  • Scholarship acceptance letter
  • Scholarship award letter
  • Scholarship clause in the admission offer
  • Revised fee demand showing the waiver
  • Official email confirming the approved percentage and conditions

BMU’s new-student registration list includes a “Seat Allotment letter/Scholarship Acceptance Letter,” demonstrating the importance of written documentation. BMU new-student information.

Confirm Admission Within the Deadline

Pay the admission or seat-confirmation amount within the deadline stated in the offer. Missing the deadline can affect both admission and scholarship availability, particularly because awards are limited and often first-come, first-served.

Do not assume that submitting a scholarship application automatically extends the admission-fee deadline.

What If the Entrance-Exam Result Is Awaited?

BMU’s current scholarship FAQ says students can seek provisional admission while final results are awaited. Scholarship consideration can occur once the final result is submitted and satisfies the criteria.

A student in this situation should:

  • Submit the admission application on time
  • State that the result is awaited
  • Upload available registration or admit-card evidence if requested
  • Ask BMU to keep the scholarship request pending
  • Submit the official result immediately after declaration
  • Obtain confirmation that the scholarship pool has not closed
  • Check the deadline for updating the score
  • Avoid paying a non-refundable amount without understanding the scholarship implications

Provisional admission is not the same as a provisional scholarship. The final scholarship depends on the verified result, availability and committee approval.

Documents Required for BMU Scholarship Application

The precise checklist can vary, but applicants should prepare the following.

Common Documents

  • Recent passport-size photographs
  • Government-issued identity proof
  • Aadhaar card, where applicable
  • Class 10 marksheet and certificate
  • Class 12 marksheet and certificate
  • Graduation marksheets for postgraduate programmes
  • Degree or provisional degree certificate
  • Migration or transfer certificate, where required
  • Character certificate
  • Entrance-examination scorecard
  • Admission application acknowledgement
  • BMU offer letter
  • Scholarship application or declaration
  • Scholarship acceptance letter after approval

Entrance-Exam Documents

Depending on the programme:

  • JEE Main scorecard
  • SAT score report
  • CUET result
  • BMU-SAT result

  • XAT scorecard
  • NMAT scorecard
  • GMAT score report
  • GRE score report and any BMU-approved conversion
  • UGAT result
  • CLAT scorecard or rank document
  • IB transcript

Haryana Domicile Documents

  • Residence proof, if requested
  • Parent or guardian income certificate
  • Other documents required under the applicable category

Defence Ward Documents

  • Defence Ward certificate in BMU’s accepted format
  • Service certificate
  • Discharge or retirement document, where applicable
  • Parent’s defence identity or relationship proof
  • Any additional verification requested by BMU

Hero Ward Documents

  • Parent’s employment certificate
  • Latest employee identity proof
  • HR confirmation
  • Proof of relationship
  • Other company-specific documentation requested by the university

Sports Scholarship Documents

  • State, national or international participation certificates
  • Medal or achievement certificate
  • Recognition or affiliation evidence for the event
  • Sports federation documentation
  • Fitness and medical certificates, where required
  • Consent to participate in BMU sports trials
  • Undertaking to represent the university

Equity Scholarship Documents

  • Parent or guardian income certificate
  • Income-tax returns or Form 16, where applicable
  • Salary slips
  • Business-income records
  • Bank statements, if requested
  • Evidence of financial hardship
  • Academic records
  • Written financial statement
  • Housing-support request, if applicable
  • Supporting medical or family-liability documents

Upload clear, complete and consistent documents. A mismatch between income figures, names, examination details or dates can trigger additional verification.

BMU Scholarship Selection Process

The process can differ by programme, but the following factors commonly influence the decision.

Qualifying Score

The applicant must fall within the relevant published slab or satisfy the applicable interview-based criteria.

Admission Approval

A scholarship is tied to an eligible BMU admission. A high score without admission approval does not create an independent award.

Application Timing

BMU describes most scholarships as limited and first-come, first-served. Earlier applicants may have an advantage if they complete all required steps.

Programme Merit List

Programme Scholarship renewal and, in some cases, allocation may depend on the candidate’s relative position in a merit list.

Interview or Faculty Interaction

For some undergraduate routes, BMU gives explicit weight to the interview assessment. Equity and Sports Scholarships also involve additional assessment.

Availability

The university can limit:

  • Total number of scholarships
  • Number of scholarships in each programme
  • Awards available in each percentage slab
  • Awards within a particular admission round
  • Awards under a particular category

Committee Discretion

The Admissions and Scholarship Committee makes the final decision. A website table is an eligibility reference, whereas the award letter is the operative confirmation.

BMU Scholarship Renewal Rules

Receiving a scholarship at admission does not always mean keeping it automatically.

Dean’s Scholarship Renewal

The current terms generally require:

  • Minimum 8.5 CGPA every year
  • Minimum 80% attendance
  • No disciplinary action
  • Continued compliance with university policy

If the student fails to reach the required CGPA, the published policy states that the Dean’s Scholarship may be revoked without reinstatement.

Programme Scholarship Renewal

The latest minimum conditions are:

  • Minimum 7.00 CGPA
  • Minimum 80% attendance
  • No disciplinary action
  • Suitable rank in the programme merit list
  • Availability and school approval

A 7.00 CGPA makes the student eligible for consideration but may not guarantee renewal if the merit-list requirement is competitive.

Equity Scholarship Renewal

The latest rules include:

  • Minimum 7.00 CGPA
  • Minimum 80% attendance
  • No disciplinary action
  • Continued compliance with the approved grant conditions

The committee may also recheck financial circumstances where the award terms allow it.

Sports Scholarship Renewal

Renewal can consider:

  • Academic performance
  • Attendance
  • Conduct
  • Continued sports participation
  • Representation of BMU
  • Annual interview or review
  • Compliance with Sports Office requirements

Haryana Domicile Scholarship in Later Years

BMU states that subsequent-year allocation can be based on:

  • Academic performance
  • Attendance
  • Family income
  • Applicable merit list
  • University policy for that academic year

What Happens If a Scholarship Is Revoked?

Revocation can materially increase the amount payable by a family.

Before accepting admission, students should ask:

  • From which semester does revocation take effect?
  • Is the student required to repay a benefit already received?
  • Is any grace period available?
  • Is a supplementary examination considered?
  • Is there an appeal process?
  • Can medical circumstances be reviewed?
  • Does the scholarship percentage reduce, or does the entire award end?
  • Can a revoked Programme Scholarship be reconsidered later?
  • Does the rule differ for Dean’s, Equity, Sports and category-based waivers?

The current Dean’s Scholarship wording is particularly strict because it says the award can be revoked without reinstatement if the CGPA requirement is not met.

Families should prepare a budget for both the scholarship and non-scholarship scenarios.

Choosing the Best Examination Route

A student may have more than one valid qualifying score. BMU’s scholarship FAQ says it evaluates the score that offers the maximum scholarship benefit when a candidate has qualifying results in multiple examinations.

For B.Tech Applicants

Compare:

  • JEE Main percentile
  • SAT score
  • Any formally issued BMU-SAT or CUET scholarship criterion

A CSE applicant with 90 JEE Main percentile currently falls in the 75% slab, while an ECE/EComE or ME applicant with the same percentile falls in the 100% slab. Branch selection therefore changes the published JEE scholarship outcome.

However, students should not choose a branch only for a larger waiver. Academic interest, curriculum, career plans, programme quality and long-term fit remain important.

For MBA Applicants

Compare:

  • CAT percentile
  • XAT percentile
  • NMAT score
  • GMAT score
  • BMU-approved GRE treatment
  • Any formally communicated CMAT or BMU-MAT scholarship offer

Submit every qualifying score if the application system permits it. Ask BMU to identify the score used in the final scholarship calculation.

For BBA, B.Com and Integrated BBA–MBA Applicants

Compare:

  • Class 12 result
  • CUET result
  • UGAT percentile
  • IB points
  • SAT, if accepted for the particular programme and scholarship cycle

Remember that the Class 12 route can include interview weight. A qualifying board percentage may not be the sole deciding factor.

For Law Applicants

Compare:

  • CLAT rank
  • BMU-SAT score
  • SAT score
  • CUET percentage
  • Class 12 percentage

The current integrated-law Class 12 route reaches only 50%, whereas other routes can reach 100%.

Practical Scholarship Scenarios

A B.Tech CSE Applicant With 92 JEE Main Percentile

Under the latest official B.Tech table, 92 percentile falls in the 90–94.99 CSE band, corresponding to a 75% Dean’s Scholarship.

The applicant is eligible for consideration, but the award remains subject to admission, availability and final approval. If granted, continuation would require the Dean’s Scholarship renewal conditions.

A B.Tech Mechanical Applicant With 92 Percentile

For Mechanical Engineering, the latest 100% band begins at 90 percentile. The same 92 percentile therefore falls in the 100% Dean’s Scholarship band for ME.

This difference shows why applicants must read the branch-specific columns.

An MBA Applicant With 85 CAT Percentile

A CAT percentile of 85 falls in the published 84–86.99 band, which corresponds to a 50% Programme Scholarship.

The first award and its continuation remain subject to university rules. The student should not assume a guaranteed 50% waiver in the second year.

An MBA Applicant With 88 XAT Percentile and 230 NMAT

An 88 XAT percentile falls in the 75% band. An NMAT score of 230 falls in the 50% band. Under the current highest-benefit principle, the university would ordinarily evaluate the XAT route offering the larger benefit.

Final approval must still appear in writing.

A BBA Applicant With 96% in Class 12

A 96% Class 12 result falls in the latest 75% Dean’s Scholarship slab. However, the programme’s dedicated scholarship page also refers to 70% weight for Class 12 marks and 30% for interview assessment.

The student should therefore complete the interview seriously and ask how the composite assessment affects the final award.

A B.Com Applicant With 90% in CUET

A CUET result of 90%, if accepted by BMU under its stated “CUET Percentage” measurement, falls in the 88–90.9 band and corresponds to a 25% Programme Scholarship.

The applicant should confirm whether the official CUET result field BMU uses is a percentage, percentile or another normalised value.

A Student Eligible for Both Hero Ward and Merit Scholarships

Suppose an eligible Hero Ward candidate also qualifies for a 50% Programme Scholarship. BMU’s one-grant rule means the two benefits are not ordinarily combined.

The larger 50% merit benefit would generally be considered, subject to approval.

An Equity Scholarship Applicant With Strong Academics

A student with excellent academic performance but limited family income can seek an Equity Scholarship even when their entrance score does not place them in the highest merit slab.

The committee reviews the complete financial and academic profile. The amount is not determined by one universal online income cut-off.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Treating the 2026 Slabs as Final 2027 Rules

The present tables are planning references. BMU may revise them for the next admission cycle.

Applying Late

Scholarships are limited and often first-come, first-served. Waiting until the last admission round can reduce availability.

Confusing Percentile With Percentage

CAT, XAT, UGAT and JEE tables use percentiles, while Class 12 and BMU’s CUET tables use percentage wording.

Assuming Admission and Scholarship Criteria Are Identical

An examination may be accepted for admission without a publicly published scholarship slab.

Believing 100% Means Every Expense Is Free

A 100% scholarship normally means a 100% tuition-fee waiver. It does not automatically include hostel, mess, deposit, registration or immersion charges.

Ignoring Renewal Conditions

A large first-year award can be lost if CGPA, attendance or conduct conditions are not maintained.

Combining Two Waivers in Personal Calculations

BMU’s latest terms allow one financial grant at a time, generally the one with the highest benefit.

Relying on a Verbal Promise

Request a scholarship acceptance letter or written clause in the admission offer.

Not Checking Programme-Specific Differences

B.Tech JEE Main thresholds differ by branch. Law and management programmes also use different score routes.

Interpreting the GRE Table Literally

The current BMU MBA page combines the label “GMAT/GRE” with GMAT-style numerical slabs. GRE applicants need a written conversion or separate criterion.

Ignoring Official-Page Inconsistencies

BMU’s public pages contain some overlapping or differing boundaries, especially for IB and the LL.B. BMU-SAT score of 90. The admissions office should clarify the exact rule for the applicant’s programme and intake.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the BML Munjal University scholarship 2027 officially announced?

A separate final scholarship policy for the 2027 intake was not publicly visible as of August 18, 2026. BMU’s website currently displays its latest 2026 admission information and existing scholarship slabs. Students can use these cut-offs for planning but should verify the final 2027 notification before applying or paying fees.

How much scholarship does BML Munjal University offer?

BMU currently advertises tuition-fee waivers ranging from 10% to 100% through its merit slabs. Sports Scholarships can range from 25% to 100%, while Defence Ward and Hero Ward waivers are presently 10%. Haryana-domicile and Equity Scholarship amounts depend on the applicable rules and committee assessment.

Can I get a 100% scholarship at BML Munjal University?

Yes, a 100% tuition-fee waiver is available in the highest published merit slabs and may also be available under Sports, Haryana-domicile or Equity support in eligible cases. It is limited, not automatic and normally applies to tuition rather than every educational or living expense.

What is the BML Munjal University scholarship cut-off for B.Tech CSE?

The latest official B.Tech table places CSE applicants with 95 or higher JEE Main percentile in the 100% slab. The remaining CSE bands are 90–94.99 for 75%, 85–89.99 for 50%, 80–84.99 for 25% and 75–79.99 for 10%. These are not yet confirmed as 2027 cut-offs.

What is the B.Tech scholarship cut-off for Mechanical Engineering?

The latest published JEE Main thresholds for ME are 90 and above for 100%, 85–89.99 for 75%, 80–84.99 for 50%, 75–79.99 for 25% and 70–74.99 for 10%.

Can I receive a BMU B.Tech scholarship through SAT?

Yes. The current SAT slabs are 1451 and above for 100%, 1401–1450 for 75%, 1351–1400 for 50%, 1326–1350 for 25% and 1250–1325 for 10%.

Is there a B.Tech scholarship through CUET?

The B.Tech page mentions CUET among accepted examinations, but the current detailed scholarship table publishes only JEE Main and SAT cut-offs. A CUET applicant should request the 2027 scholarship criterion directly from BMU.

What CAT percentile is required for a BMU MBA scholarship?

The latest published CAT/XAT slabs begin at 75 percentile. The bands are 90 or above for 100%, 87–89.99 for 75%, 84–86.99 for 50%, 80–83.99 for 25% and 75–79.99 for 10%.

Does an 80 CAT percentile qualify for a BMU MBA scholarship?

Under the current table, 80 percentile falls in the 80–83.99 band and qualifies the applicant for consideration for a 25% Programme Scholarship. The award is not guaranteed because availability and final approval still apply.

Does an 85 CAT percentile qualify for a scholarship?

Yes. An 85 CAT percentile falls in the latest 84–86.99 band, corresponding to a 50% Programme Scholarship.

Can an MBA applicant use XAT for the scholarship?

Yes. BMU currently applies the same published percentile bands to CAT and XAT.

Is an NMAT-based MBA scholarship available?

Yes. The present table starts at an NMAT score of 206. A score of 301 or above is in the 100% slab, while 251–300, 226–250, 211–225 and 206–210 correspond to 75%, 50%, 25% and 10%, respectively.

Is there a CMAT scholarship cut-off at BMU?

CMAT is accepted for MBA admission, but a separate numeric CMAT scholarship table is not displayed on the current official MBA scholarship page. Applicants should request a written criterion from BMU.

Can I get a scholarship through BMU-MAT?

BMU-MAT is accepted for MBA admission, but the official public scholarship table does not currently display a BMU-MAT score-wise waiver. A student should not use an unofficial conversion.

What GRE score is needed for the BMU MBA scholarship?

BMU’s current page labels a table “GMAT/GRE” but uses the 625–725 score range, which is not the GRE General Test scale. GRE applicants should ask BMU for the applicable section scores, percentile or conversion. They should not interpret 725 as a valid GRE score requirement.

What Class 12 percentage is needed for a BMU BBA scholarship?

Is the BBA scholarship determined only by board marks?

Not necessarily. The dedicated BBA scholarship information says Class 12 marks carry 70% weight and interview assessment carries 30%. Applicants should confirm how this composite assessment is applied in the 2027 cycle.

Can CUET scores be used for a BBA or B.Com scholarship?

Yes. The current CUET slabs for these programmes range from 10% at 85–87.9% to 100% at 98% and above.

Does BMU offer a scholarship for Integrated BBA–MBA?

Yes. The current programme offers Dean’s and Programme Scholarships based on Class 12, UGAT, CUET and IB performance. The displayed waivers range from 10% to 100%.

Does a 100% BMU scholarship cover hostel fees?

Normally, no. The standard 100% award applies to tuition. Hostel and food charges are separately payable. In an exceptional Equity Scholarship case, the authorised committee may approve housing support.

Can I combine a merit scholarship with a Haryana-domicile concession?

BMU’s latest terms ordinarily allow only one financial grant in an academic year. If a student qualifies for more than one, the university generally considers the grant offering the highest benefit.

Is the scholarship automatically renewed every year?

No. Dean’s Scholarship recipients must presently maintain at least 8.5 CGPA, 80% attendance and satisfactory conduct. Programme Scholarship renewal requires at least 7.00 CGPA, 80% attendance, no disciplinary action and a suitable rank in the programme merit list.

Can a revoked Dean’s Scholarship be restored?

The latest official wording says that if the student does not achieve the required CGPA, the Dean’s Scholarship will be revoked without an option for reinstatement. Applicants should read the exact clause in their own award letter.

Can current students apply after joining BMU?

BMU’s current scholarship FAQ says scholarships must be applied for and granted before or at admission. Requests submitted after enrolment are not considered under the ordinary process.

Can I apply if my entrance result is awaited?

Yes. BMU says provisional admission may be possible while results are awaited. Scholarship approval occurs after the final result is submitted and meets the applicable criterion, subject to availability.

Which score is used if I qualify through two examinations?

The latest BMU FAQ says the university evaluates the score that offers the maximum scholarship benefit. Submit every valid qualifying score and ask the admissions team to identify the score used in the award letter.

What is the Haryana Domicile Scholarship?

It is a fee-concession arrangement for qualifying students admitted under the Haryana-domicile category. BMU states that 25% of students admitted under this category are eligible for full or partial concessions distributed across 100%, 50% and 25% levels according to the prescribed proportions.

Who can apply for the Defence Ward Fee Waiver?

Eligible children of serving or retired defence personnel who receive a BMU admission offer may be considered for the current 10% tuition-fee waiver, subject to documentation and renewal conditions.

Who is eligible for the Hero Ward Scholarship?

An eligible student whose parent works for one of BMU’s listed Hero Group companies may receive a 10% tuition-fee waiver, subject to admission, verification and the university’s terms.

How much is the BMU Sports Scholarship?

The current Sports Scholarship ranges from 25% to 100% of tuition. The amount depends on the level of participation or achievement, recognition of the competition, university assessment and successful completion of required sports tests.

What is the BMU Equity Scholarship?

It is financial assistance for academically capable students from economically weaker backgrounds. The committee evaluates academic merit, income documents and interview performance. In exceptional approved cases, support may include student housing.

Is there a fixed income limit for the Equity Scholarship?

BMU does not publish one universal income ceiling on its main scholarship page. Applicants must provide the financial documents required by the committee and should obtain the current income criterion from admissions.

Does getting the required cut-off guarantee a scholarship?

No. Scholarship seats are limited, generally first-come, first-served and subject to the university’s final discretion.

When should I apply for the BMU scholarship?

Apply during the admission process and as early as possible. Do not wait until enrolment because BMU says ordinary post-enrolment scholarship requests are not considered.

What proof should I obtain after approval?

Obtain a scholarship acceptance letter, scholarship award letter, an official email or a clear scholarship clause in the admission offer. The document should identify the percentage, duration, renewal conditions and covered fee.

Where can I contact BMU about scholarship eligibility?

Applicants can write to admissions@bmu.edu.in or call 18001036888. Use the official university contact details and request written clarification for any disputed or unpublished cut-off.

Final Advice for 2027 Applicants

The BML Munjal University scholarship can substantially reduce tuition, but the percentage shown in a cut-off table is only the beginning of the decision.

Applicants must check four things before accepting an offer:

  • Whether the score qualifies under the final 2027 policy
  • Whether the scholarship has actually been allotted
  • Which fee components it covers
  • What must be achieved to retain it

The largest current merit awards are available to high performers in JEE Main, SAT, CAT, XAT, NMAT, GMAT, CUET, UGAT, CLAT, BMU-SAT, Class 12 and IB, depending on the programme. Students with Haryana domicile, defence or Hero Group connections, strong sports records or financial need should also submit their category-specific evidence.

Most importantly, do not calculate a four- or five-year saving from an indicative website percentage alone. Use the final tuition schedule and scholarship acceptance letter. A written award issued for the 2027 intake will be more authoritative than any previous-year table, calculator or third-party admission page.
